Long overdue. Here are the haiku reviews of Bushwick restaurants I jazzercised onto paper for the lovely Kristen Felicetti’s slick indie mag The Bushwick Review (more info below and here).
I may never be as slick as Dick Whitman, but it’s nice to know that we share the same taste in powerful interior decorating accessories. The pelican ashtray in this still from Mad Men’s third season episode, titled Seven Twenty Three (in which Peggy lays with Duck), currently sits on our coffee table next to a stack of coasters (we share Larry David’s sentiments on wood stains) and a hurricane vase. Originally a wedding gift to my grandparents, I made damn sure it came with me when I moved out of my folks’ house.
